SUDDENLY, GOD! MOJU, PA – BRAZIL

From July 19–25, our team of missionaries from Brazil, the United States, and Germany traveled to serve the city of Moju with one purpose: to proclaim the Gospel and see lives transformed by Jesus.

From the moment we arrived, we kept hearing the same words everywhere we went. Pastors, leaders, and church members told us, “We have been praying for this for years.” Those words deeply moved us. We realized that what God was about to do in Moju did not begin with our arrival. It had started long before, in prayer meetings, through tears shed in secret, and through the perseverance of a church that never stopped believing God would visit their city.

Then, “suddenly”, God moved.

The week began with the three-day Soul Winners Conference, where pastors, leaders, and volunteers received training in evangelism, prayer for healing, deliverance, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. But God did not wait for the campaigns to begin.

During the conference, one woman was completely healed of a large tumor, while another woman who had suffered from scoliosis testified before everyone that her spine had been restored. It was only the beginning of what God would do in Moju.

When the campaign’s services finally began, it felt as though all the expectations we had encountered throughout the city were about to be fulfilled. This first night was a night of salvation! People heard the Gospel, repented of their sins, and surrendered their lives to Jesus.

At the same time, God confirmed His Word through signs and wonders. We saw tumors disappear and hernias completely healed.

  • A woman who had lived with a lump in her breast for 30 years left the crusade completely healed.

  • Another woman was awaiting medical tests because of four nodules on her thyroid. During prayer, she testified that all four had disappeared.

  • We also witnessed people healed of scoliosis and herniated discs.

And that was only the first night.

The second night was different. There was a profound awareness of God’s presence, and we saw many people set free from years of spiritual oppression. As the Gospel was preached, men and women received not only forgiveness for their sins, but also true freedom in Christ. It was a deliverance night!

At the same time, the Lord continued to confirm His Word:

  • A man who had been deaf in one ear for 16 years regained his hearing.

  • A woman who had lost her sight because of diabetes was able to see again.

  • A man who had walked with a limp for eight years ran in front of the entire crowd after being completely healed.

  • Once again, we witnessed tumors and lumps disappear before our eyes.

But nothing could have prepared us for what God would do on the final night. It felt as though heaven had invaded that place! Testimonies were coming from every direction as people wept, worshiped, and glorified the name of Jesus. Hundreds of people were healed! The joy was almost impossible to describe. Our team could barely keep up with everything God was doing. This last night was marked by healing.

  • Gilnisio (the man in the picture above) had lost hearing in his left ear after rupturing his eardrum when he jumped into a pool. After receiving prayer, he testified that his ear opened—and he could hear again.

  • An elderly woman who could no longer read because of a serious growth affecting her vision opened her Bible and began reading again.

  • A woman who had suffered for two years from a tumor in her neck testified that the tumor had disappeared.

  • A man whose fingers had been paralyzed regained full movement in his hand. He also testified that his back had been healed and that a lump in his abdomen had disappeared.

In addition to the countless healings, we saw many people set free from spiritual oppression. The presence of God filled that place so powerfully that we left Moju knowing we had witnessed something that would forever be remembered as part of the city’s history.

As we departed, one truth remained in our hearts: God still answers prayer. We witnessed it firsthand in Moju, Pará! And none of this would have been possible without you.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and investing in this mission. Every life saved, every family reached, and every person restored is also part of the fruit of your partnership.

We continue moving forward, trusting that the same God who answered the prayers of Moju will continue reaching many other cities.

Together, we continue carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

With faith and gratitude,
Evangelist Rubens Cunha and the GGA Team
